Mosquito Inhibitors
Mosquito inhibitors, or mosquito barriers, emit a scent that blocks a mosquito's olfactory receptors and keeps it from tracking down human meals through odors like carbon dioxide, perspiration and body heat.
The scent emitted from a mosquito inhibitor device is virtually undetectable by humans and is circulated over an area by an internal fan and discharge vents. The mosquito inhibitor's scent blocks the sensory receptors of mosquitoes so that mosquitoes are unable to track us down to bite us.
Mosquito inhibitors will protect up to 100-square feet and work best when:
- Placed at ground level, near grass and low foliage.
- In a damp, shaded area with dense foliage.
- Blocked from the wind.
- Placed 50 feet away from decks and patios.
- Activated 30 minutes before you go outside to allow the fan to disperse the inhibitor scent to thoroughly block mosquito sensors.
The effectiveness of mosquito inhibitors depends on humidity, wind and mosquito population. Mosquito inhibitors can be turned on 24 hours a day, during the entire mosquito season so mosquitoes will learn to avoid your yard out of habit.
